Dr. Jilani attended medical school in her native Pakistan, where she practiced for several years before coming to the United States. Her further education in the U.S. included an internship in internal medicine and a medical residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center (New York) and a fellowship in hematology / oncology at Winthrop University Hospital (New York). Dr. Jilani is currently an attending physician in internal medicine and hematology / oncology at Good Samaritan Hospital (Dayton, Ohio) and in practice at Hematology and Oncology of Dayton. She is Board certified in medical oncology, internal medicine and palliative and hospice care. As well, she is currently Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Medicine, at Wright State University in Dayton.

Outside of medicine and teaching activities, Dr. Jilani is also very active in the Indo-Pak Cultural Association and enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
